The Heart Matters Foster Family AgencyGeorge was placed with one of our families about 4 months ago. He loves to play outside and chase butterflies. Because of his high anxiety, George is in the process of learning coping skills from his foster parents who have been extremely patient with him. George has only been with us a short time, but we can see improvements in his behaviors every day. He started school this last week and has loved it! He has not had the best record when it comes to education and is behind. With that said, he loves to learn! He loves to read books with his teachers and friends. His foster parents have seen that it is one of the very few ways to get him into bed and sleeping at night.
George came to us from San Francisco County and has had some trouble falling asleep at night. At home, he used a weighted blanket to help him fall asleep and curb his anxiety. When he got on the plane to come to us, the airport confiscated it and notified the social worker he was unable to bring it with him. This has caused many rough nights for George. George would love a new weighted blanket to help him sleep easier and completely through the night.
