Kahleef, 14 years old

Kahleef is a respectful high energy youth. His favorite school subject is Math. He is interested in music, sports and playing outside. He loves to laugh and make others laugh. Kahleef dislikes eating vegetables and not being able to go outside.

Kahleef is requesting the DS because he intends to use it as a coping skill. He is working with his therapist on identifying coping skills and this is one of his skills he would like to be able to utilize. He also expressed that it could be used as a reward for doing better in school or doing well in a subject that he was having a hard time in. Kahleef also has to spend two hours in the car when he visits with his family and it will help him to control himself on those car rides.
