Growing up in the foster care system was very challenging for Cassandra as she entered the system at 7 with her younger brother to look after as well. Cassandra felt like she forgot how to be a child while being away from her mother and doing the best she could to be there for her brother. She was briefly separated from her brother, which was one of the biggest challenges she faced. Despite the difficulties Cassandra has always prioritized school and maintaining her relationships with her family and friends as best she possibly can. Cassandra loves drawing, singing, 3D origami, and beadwork. She is working hard on becoming a Psychologist for adolescent teens and young adults in the future as well!

Cassandra absolutely adores her 9 month old Ford Asian Ridgeback Puppy. He has been there to help her through a lot. Because of Cassandra's puppy, she has been able to overcome a lot of adversities and has since started being able to regain some mental stability. Cassandra would love to be able to register her puppy to be a service animal, to then legally be able to take him with her any and every where she goes.
