Jake is such a bright light for coming from such a dark past. He has Autism and is non-verbal but is exceedingly well at expressing his emotions. He is so well behaved and as sweet as can be, always running up to hug staff when they clock in. He is slowly using more and more words since being placed at the shelter with us, like yes, no and bye. We are sadly his twelfth placement facility in the almost 5 years that he has been in the system. Jake loves to play outside, even though we can't get him to keep his shoes on for more than five minutes, and he is all about toy cars!

Jake loves the super hero pups of Paw Patrol. He loves sleeping with his cuddle up lullaby stuffed animal of Chase from Paw Patrol. He wishes for a weighted blanket to help him fall asleep at night. He says they help him calm down and feel safe in the dark. He really loves this weighted blanket with the adorable Paw Patrol characters! He will be so happy to snuggle under his favorite super heros and feel protected by them all through the night.
