Ayla is excited about an upcoming sleepaway summer camp . She has changed placements since her last Camp To Belong Maine experience and many of her belongings had to be left behind - so we are looking for a wish to come to her rescue for another year. She is excited to see her siblings at the program, which reunites siblings who are separated while in foster care. She has not seen them since last year's Camp To Belong.
To help Ayla feel at home and fall asleep, she is asking for a pillow, a flashlight, toiletries, twin sheets, and a twin comforter (or a sleeping bag).

Ayla is a creative, passionate girl who loves arts and crafts, sports, and animals. She has been living apart from her siblings because they were separated when they were taken into foster care.

"Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for funding Ayla's summer camp wish. We have been approving siblings to attend this year's program since early January and in this case we immediately were struck by this camper's excitement about not only reuniting with birth family for an entire week, but also getting to experience "normal" Maine kid activities like sleeping in a cabin with a sleeping bag! We'll work with her to make sure that the purchases suit her preferences, because at the end of camp she'll get to take ALL of her gear back to her foster home so that she can continue to use it after camp. Thank you so much for your generosity. When we are made aware of specific camper needs, one of the things we do is let them know when those needs have been covered, as it's one less thing they need to think about.
