A Couch for Stephanie's new apartment

Stephanie struggled for years before having an apartment of her own. When she finally received one in late 2019, it was through the Section 8 program - a very expensive way to get an apartment in NYC. Our nonprofit was able to help with the security deposit, the broker fee, and essential apartment items such as home goods and a bed set. But Stephanie has not had a couch in her apartment since moving in. She had been saving money, but due to COVID-19 has been laid off from her restaurant position. Please help Stephanie feel more at home by helping get her a couch!
Stephanie is 29 years old and lives in NY
Stephanie is a former foster youth who recently received a Section 8 apartment after years of unstable housing. Through all her adversity, she has stayed strong. Stephanie is always employed, and excelled in work; the restaurant chain she works for even paid for Stephanie to travel when they opened new stores, so she could train the new staff at these locations. Stephanie has goals to attend college and further her career in a corporate setting. She has overcome so much and is joy to be around!
