A Laptop for Maia to attend daily online sessions

Posted Aug 13, 2020
Last school year, when school was shut down due to the COVID-19 Pandemic Maia was able to continue her education thanks to the school. They provided one computer for her and her sister. Their online classes were at different hours making it easy for them to share one device. Unfortunately, this year the school will not be providing the computers. She has a medical order to stay at home because of her chronic asthma. It will be a lot of help for Maia to have her own device to work. Due to the highlight of her condition, she will be learning from home. Having her own device will allow her to keep up to date with her school work and assignments.

Maia is 10 years old and lives in TX

Maia is a free spirited little girl who moved to Texas with her parents and sister 3 years ago after Hurricane Maria devastated her homeland of Puerto Rico. She is a very intelligent girl who is now part of the Leadership Classroom at the Montessori Academy as a 2nd grader. She loves playing with Lego's, playing with her sister, drawing and coloring, listening to music, dancing, and helping with anything related to baking.
