An iPad for Tanysha's daughter with special needs

Posted Sep 30, 2020
Tanysha is a single mother to a 5 year old girl, Daisy. Daisy is an active little lady who loves to play with her Minnie mouse and kitchen toys. Daisy was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder when she was 3 and has been receiving special education services since then. Since COVID-19, Daisy's in-person services have stopped and have gone virtual. Tanysha has been using her phone as means of learning but has been difficult with kindergarten starting this year. Tanysha is requesting for an iPad specifically to meet Daisy's special needs. Tanysha will be able to use apps and other features that have been recommended by her speech therapist to help Daisy. An iPad will allow Daisy to have very much needed therapy sessions via zoom and make it interactive for Daisy to stay attentive. Tanysha would greatly appreciate this gift so Daisy could learn as much as possible even in the midst of this pandemic.

Tanysha is 28 years old and lives in NY

Tanysha is a dedicated mother from New York, NY. She has aged out of foster care and has been working on hard to provide a stable home for her 4 year old daughter with special needs. She advocates for her daughter to ensure she receives necessary services so she can thrive.
