A Winter Coat and Supples for Uyi who has fell on hard times

Uyi unexpectedly had to leave the place he was staying. Despite the rigorous and hard-working efforts being done by the agency, he is expected to experience extreme housing insecurity over the next few months while he waits to be approved for an apartment. Uyi has very little of the things he needs to stay safe, well, and warm. A new winter coat and accessories will ensure that Uyi can stay warm and healthy while he will be traveling a lot during the winter. Support will mean the world to Uyi during this painful time!
Uyi is 25 years old and lives in NY
Uyi left foster care around 2014/15, being discharged to family via a kinship placement. Unfortunately, this did not go well and by 2017 Uyi was residing in a homeless shelter. He remained there for about a year before moving to Binghamton to attend college. Uyi is not currently still in school due to his lack of a strong support system, but was linked to our agency in the hopes of locating housing back in NYC where our nonprofit, and others, can better assist him on his path to success.
