Tenaja is balancing the heavy task of raising her three-year old son alone, while working full time and completing her MSW degree. Her wish is to be able to get assistance with paying for a summer class, Clinical Assessment. Because graduate level classes aren’t covered by financial aid, Tenaja has had to take out loans on all her courses. Taking the summer course will decrease the number of classes she has to take in the Fall, and she will stay on track to graduate in two years. Once she graduates, Tenaja's longterm goals are to work in a juvenile detention facility or a school, and eventually open her own non-profit that will support youth in urban communities providing life skills education and management. She wants her program to be an outlet for the community to know they have a program that wants the BEST for every young person.
