Avery has been in the system for over 8 years, which has taught him great resilience. He works part time at the local Wendy’s and when he’s not working, he’s either in school, hanging out with friends, or playing games on his gaming system. Avery does weight lifting in the school’s gym, and loves to dabble in painting and other crafts. Avery plans to go to college for an engineering or business degree, he’s yet to decide which he’ll pick!

Despite the challenges presented by COVID and of being a youth who will age out of the system, Avery has every reason to be proud for his recent high school graduation. With plans of attending college in the fall to study Business Management, which means he’ll soon be moving into the dorms. Avery would greatly benefit from being able to have a shopping trip to get all of the essentials he’ll need to personalize his dorm room. We want to make sure he has a comfortable space where he can come back to after class to study and relax.
