Ayana is an amazing young woman who aged out of foster care in NYC. She has been living in her NYCHA apartment for 4 years now. She is currently working toward her Bachelors Degree, and plans to pursue her Graduate Degree in Social Work. She aspires to work in the child welfare system to help other children and young adults succeed. She is also an entrepreneur, starting businesses both to help foster youth and around her passion for cooking. She is a staunch advocate for youth in foster care, linking them to resources and assisting with things like resume writing and career planning.

Ayana is moving out of public housing for the first time! This is a huge accomplishment for Ayana because she has aspired to move out of public housing for years. She has been very unhappy in her current apartment and has finally save enough money to move into a space that feels safe. Although she can financially afford the move, Ayana will be moving into a fairly empty apartment. She will need new furniture to make her apartment into a home and would love a gift card to choose a few items she's already picked out. Please help us support Ayana during this huge life change!
