Sistina has an amazing story of perseverance and overcoming obstacles. She never gave up. She has always been a hard worker and did very well in college. She is now a stay-at-home mom, caring for her younger siblings that entered the foster care system as well as raising her own children. She has such a big heart and is always doing what she can for those around her. Sistina is such an ambitious, hard working leader and dreams of owning her own home one day.

Sistina is an ambitious, selfless mom who always does what she can to support those around her. Sistina grew up in an abusive home, and was in and out of foster care from age 6 to 17. Throughout the years Sistina spent in foster care, she never felt her foster parents truly cared for her and she ended up returning home to her biological family at 17 hoping things would be better. Unfortunately, the abuse continued so Sistina moved out when she turned 18 to start her own family built on a foundation of love, respect, and support. Sistina’s family got a little bigger in 2016 when she took in her three younger siblings who were also in foster care. Sistina is super excited to share that in January 2022, their adoption will be finalized! Adopting her siblings has been Sistina’s goal for years and she can’t believe it is nearly a reality. To make room for her growing family, Sistina bought her first house in July and she couldn’t be happier. Sistina and her family finally have a place where they can thrive and make memories together. Sistina is still lacking some essential furniture - this is where our amazing community comes in! Sistina wishes for a living room set that will complete the heart of her home. The living room is where everyone gathers to watch movies, play board games, and relax after a long day. Family time is so valuable, especially for Sistina and her siblings who are learning to communicate and express emotions after years of enduring abuse. The furniture in Sistina’s home now is mostly donated, worn, broken, and held together by duct tape. This family deserves to have the perfect furniture set to bring them together - duct tape free! Granting Sistina’s wish for living room furniture will support her family's journey toward healing.
