Department of Children and FamiliesNahomy is an articulate and fiercely strong young lady. While navigating English as a second language, she is seeking to plant roots within her community and provide a safe and stable home for her young daughter. She is preparing to graduate high school and has hopes to serve her community by working within the juvenile justice commission in the future.
Nahomy is asking for a gift card to Gymboree to have some positive community experiences with her daughter. This mother/daughter duo would like to participate in weekly and monthly classes offered by the local Gymboree. During these classes, Nahomy would like to build relationships with other parents while also engaging in stimulating activities over the weekends with her daughter. Most importantly, Nahomy is seeking to gain independence in scheduling, planning for her family, and navigating the train and bus systems in her community so that she can continue to build on her parenting strengths.
