A good vacuum to help Cynthia keep her asthma under control

Posted Nov 9, 2021
Due to her severe asthma, it is important that she removes all dust, pollen and mildew particles from her environment as much as she possibly can. Because of this, she is asking for a new vacuum. The vacuum would not only manage her respiratory problems but can help save her life from a possible asthma attack.

Cynthia is 44 years old and lives in CA

Cynthia is in her first year of her Master of Social Work program at California State University Long Beach. She hopes to eventually work with reentry services for individuals that are system impacted. She currently participates in many on campus organizations such as Project Rebound, Guardian Scholars, and Tessie Cleveland. She has recently been accepted to a study abroad program in May to Berlin and Hamburg Germany. This will help her better understand how social services are implemented in other places and will expand her educational repertoire. She currently volunteers with Meals on Wheels feeding the elderly and works with disadvantaged youth through community service organizations. The greatest quality that will help her in this field is her kind spirit. From feeding the elderly, to helping disadvantaged youth, she can empathize and care about people and their suffering without judgement. She hopes to make an impact in the lives of others.

"Dearest benefactor, I would like to extend my deepest gratitude for generously granting my wish. I have suffered from Asthma my whole life and this vacuum will help me in managing it and improve my quality of life. It is so easy to send well wishes but putting action to that kindness is what makes you special. I think of it like you handed me a cup of water during this college marathon, especially now I am in the final stretch. A couple gulps of water are helpful, but knowing someone believes in you enough to hold it out for you means much more. Thank you "
