Derik is a fun, energetic typical young boy. He has jumped around from foster care to kinship care and hasn't had a lot of consistency in his life, but he is always looking ahead and has a positive outlook on his future. He is working on graduating high school and is planning on attending a trade school. Derik enjoys working with his hands and hopes to find a well paying job once he completes his certifications. He enjoys hanging out with his friends and is always trying new activities to keep himself focused and on track.

Alex is a reserved, artistic young man, he is excited for Christmas this year, simply becauase its been a "really good year". He would really like a small tree and some Christmas decor to add to his place. He doesnt have any holiday decor of his own and really would love to decorate and put his gifts under a tree, add some lights to the windows to feel that happy, homey feeling that Christmas brings.
