The holidays can be a tough time for children in foster care, many of whom have been removed from homes or separated from people they loved and relied on, like their siblings. This year, Desiree would love a gift she can play with during the winter months, indoors. She wishes for new Barbies she can pick out herself with a Target gift card. She would be thrilled to have this gift card in time for Christmas to remind her somebody out there cares.
Desiree is 12 years old and lives in NY
Desiree is a kind, unique, talented, and vibrant youth from the New York City foster care system. She loves being part of the Felix Family because it gives her the opportunity to try new activities, explore her interests, and spend time with friends and other grownups who care about her wellbeing. She hopes she can be part of this family for many years.
