Emergency Food for Naya who is having issues with her benefits

City Living NYNaya is an incredibly resilient and determined young woman. She is a single mother who lives in a NYCHA apartment in Brooklyn, NY, and is doing her best to care for her 2 year old daughter. Naya has left foster care within the last year and is trying her best to manage independent living, all while balancing a cardiovascular condition and parenting alone. She has been incredibly skilled at managing her money and time, but deserves a little extra help with all the challenges she faces on a daily basis.
Naya has had continued issues receiving her benefits through HRA and is on her second month of awaiting food stamps. One Simple Wish has been able to help her before and she is asking again for some emergency support so Naya and her daughter don't have to worry about food. Naya's case management team is working with her to resolve this issue as best they can, but they need just a little bit of extra time to get all of her benefits in place.
