Angelina has entered foster care with non-working/non-existing hearing aid technology. She is experiencing difficulties within the classroom due her hearing loss, and is falling even farther behind in her studies. Angelina works hard at school and has expressed many of her needs are not being met through accommodations within the classroom. Her placement is working hard to provide her with a working hearing aid, though the process has been delayed. This sound amplifier system will help to ensure she can understand the world around her, and will provide Angelina with the technology she needs to be successful both in school and at home.
Angelina is 16 years old and lives in AZ
Angelina is the oldest of five siblings that she loves very much and spends much of her time caring for them. Angelina is extremely selfless and spends time helping her younger siblings with school, as the family group did not have much schooling prior to placement. Angelina works hard to maintain a positive outlook and continues to display her resiliency. She is a brave soul who has continued to advocate for herself and her family throughout this difficult process.
