Camp to BelongDavid is a vibrant teenager who's managed to keep a positive outlook and is seen as a natural leader. Through no fault of his own, he and his siblings had to be taken into foster care recently and due to age and geographic disparity of foster homes, were placed in separate locations. David enjoys school, sports, and his job, but appreciates opportunities to connect with youth and allies in the foster care system who understand his unique challenges.
David is always on the go with jobs or school as he takes on many responsibilities, but one responsibility he misses is taking care of his younger siblings, who were placed in a separate foster home. His wish is to spend time with them, and this wish will give him a week of lightened loads and fun - at summer camp! At Camp To Belong Maine, he and his siblings will enjoy camp cabins, all meals (and marshmallows), activities of leisure on the lake and sports fields, and more.
