A Week of Summer Camp fun together for Leonard and his siblings
Posted Mar 10, 2022
Leonard was separated from his siblings when they were taken into foster care. Camp To Belong is a one week program that will reunite Leonard with his siblings for nights of sharing cabin stories, roasting s'mores, swimming and fishing together, archery, a rock wall, among other fun actives. Campers are treated to dance parties, talent night, and a full scale carnival right at the camp. All campers are sibling sets who have been separated while in foster care, who understand and support each other. Camp To Belong will be particularly important for Leonard this summer, who is anxious about his brothers drifting apart. Camp will engage Leonard and his siblings in making pillows that they will exchange and take with them to help each other remember one another after camp. They will also take make scrapbooks of their camp week and attend a life seminar that includes ways to stay in touch and support each other after camp, even while in foster care.

Leonard receives the gift from Camp to Belong Maine!
"Dear Danielle, thank you on Leonard and his sibling's behalf for your donation to Camp To Belong, which will make a week of togetherness at sleepaway camp possible! Seven days of 24/7 togetherness are impossible for this sibling group due to foster care, making this wish truly a once-a-year event - and something they have not been able to experience for over 2 years because of COVID. Thank you for this truly miraculous experience!"
