New Shoes for School for Derrick who has been struggling in care

Derrick recently entered foster care, started over at a new school, and is have a very hard time adjusting. He entered care with one pair of shoes that are way too small and worn out. He is embarrassed by his shoes, and just desperately wants to blend in with his peers. Have a new pair of shoes will hopefully give Derrick a bit of confidence in his new school around new people.
Derrick is 8 years old and lives in TX
Derrick is an amazing young man who is having a hard time adjusting to going into foster care. Derrick has remained hopeful, and is trying to stay focused. He is very quiet and does not talk to many people, and it takes him a very long time to relax and speak to people. Derrick is having a hard time finding friends, but is trying his best to reach out and make connections.
