Brittny speaks Spanish, and a lot of the staff at her group home and at school only speak English. While there are some Spanish speaking staff at both home and school, she feels that she can have better translation, and do her homework better as well, on a tablet.

Brittny has been in the US for about a year. She immigrated to the US from a central American Country because it was very dangerous there. She feels alone right now, and is needing to be in a safe place, and feel it. She is learning English, and is working on her schooling. She has learned some English, enough to "get by" but her desire is to be more successful. She makes good grades in school and states she has a lot to look forward to given the right opportunities. She is hoping to recognize them and take as much advantage as she can.
