Prior to going in to foster care, Andrew's grandmother purchased him a cell phone. He has had the same cell phone since 2016 and has relied solely on the WiFi at the homeless shelter where he resides in order to make calls and text. Andrew recently received a housing voucher and will soon be moving out of the shelter into his first apartment. He will need a new phone that can be connected to a phone plan, as his current phone is too old to link to a wireless provider. He would be so grateful to receive a new phone that will allow him to stay connected to the world without having to rely solely on WiFi.
