Emily is a first-year student at Lehman College. She graduated from high school with amazing grades and has taken this work ethic and motivation with her to college. She is very interested in advocacy work and sees such work as a potential career path. She is very well mannered and has a great head on her shoulders. She is very determined to not allow the difficulties of life deprive her of gaining new experiences and reaching for her goals. As such, her resilient nature is truly notable.

Emily shares a room with her cousin and they currently watch shows on their small laptop screens. They would like to limit the strain on their eyes that is caused by watching shows on those small screens. Therefore, they would greatly appreciate and benefit from having a TV. Emily was originally going to ask for a camera for herself but would rather use her wish request on something that would benefit her and others. She has done extremely well in her first year of college, maintaining great grades while working. Therefore, she deserves a gift like this.
