A Television for Uyi who is moving into his first apartment

After over a year of searching, Uyi has finally moved into his very first apartment. He's been patiently awaiting financial assistance from the HRA to buy furniture, but unfortunately his request continues to be delayed. These unforeseen circumstances have left Uyi without furniture and a TV for months. Without these items it has left his home not feeling like a home. With a TV his apartment will begin to feel more like a home.
Uyi is 25 years old and lives in NY
Uyi left foster care around 2014/15, being discharged to family via a kinship placement. Unfortunately, this did not go well and by 2017 Uyi was residing in a homeless shelter. He remained there for about a year before moving to Binghamton to attend college. Uyi is not currently still in school due to his lack of a strong support system, but was linked to our agency in the hopes of locating housing back in NYC where our nonprofit, and others, can better assist him on his path to success.
