Foster Alumni MentorsKim aged out of foster care at the age of 17. It took her 12 years to get her bachelors degree, but she never once stopped working towards it! Now, she works every day to help others who aged out of foster care reach their goals. She has a big heart and loves to see others succeed. Her goal is to be a support to everyone who don't have any supports, to inspire hope, and show them they aren't alone.
In October, Kim gets to go to Disneyland with her kids and husband. 17 years ago, her husband proposed to her at California Adventure and now she gets to share this with her kids. Kim would love to have a Disneyland park ticket to go and enjoy the rides with her children and watch their faces light up with joy and happiness at the magic, something Kim never got to experience as a child and never thought she would. This would be an amazing memory for Kim and her family to keep forever.
