Makai and her son recently moved into their own apartment. After being in foster care for many years, this is a huge accomplishment for Makai and she is excited to make this home special. She has gotten everything she needs for her son's room but has one final item on her wishlist for herself! Makai is looking forward to setting up this shelving unit and getting herself all organized.

Makai is a young woman who came into care a few years ago. She is incredibly smart, funny, and aware of who she is and what she wants. She’s is also an incredible self-advocate. Makai is a young mother to her son, Nova. Makai works really hard in hopes of creating a better life for her son.
