Jose has been in foster care since he was six years old. Although his life has been nowhere near easy he still tries his best to always think positively. He is now a teenager who hopes for the best. His depression first started when he was separated from his only family member, his twin sister which took a complete toll on him. He has many developmental disabilities both mental and physical, but he still tries to think positively no matter what. Every day he wakes up and says everything he is grateful for. He is one of the sweetest young men you will ever meet.

Jose had a very rough childhood, he grew up around trauma. He was separated from his only family member when he was younger , his twin sister. He has many developmental disabilities both mental and physical. Unfortunately someone stole his bike from our backyard around the same time when the pandemic happened, he loved that bike and he would ride it everyday sunshine or rain, since the day someone stole his bike he has become more depressed and less active. Having a bicycle would help to motivate him to get outside more and be beneficial to his mental and physical development. Last year on his birthday and for Christmas he asked for the same thing and unfortunately we were not able to get it for him due to our low income. His depression is so severe that at times he will not get out of his bed. I know that if he had a bike again it would motivate him to get outdoors more and would put him in a better mood. It would encourage him to become more active and would be amazing for his overall mental health. It would mean the world to me if he was able to have a bike again.
