It is no surprise that adulthood is coming to a bit of a shock to her as she's learning how to live independently. She works part time at a store and is engaged in the City Living program.
Shawnnae is working so hard to stay financially afloat after aging out of foster care. Her public assistance has been turned off for over two months, and in addition to applying for jobs and getting little to no response, Shawnnae is understandably frustrated and feeling defeated.
