CASA NJ - Essex CountyMichael has been in foster care for quite some time now after being removed from his home due to family domestic violence and drug abuse issues. Because of the trauma he endured, he developed ADHD and lacked the coping skills needed to thrive in school and life in general. He has been in 31 different foster homes and schools through no fault of his own. His new placement has been a blessing, though. He is now receiving proper medical care and is beginning to thrive in school. His behavioral problems have all but disappeared!
Michael is currently, and finally, on the right path to healing his ADHD symptoms after having endured the trauma of moving through 31 different foster homes in less than 6 years. He would love a set of Legos to help him learn to concentrate for longer periods of time and work on hands on projects.
