Matt is currently living in a foster home, separated from his brothers. Matt has been in foster care for about 8 years and, with continued movements from placement to placement to shelters and then back to placements, he has endured a ton of instability. He was placed at his current home 3 years ago - and wow - Matt is no longer the kid with anger issues, resentment and major outbursts. Not being able to see his siblings has had a negative impact on Matt. He wants to be with his brothers, but one was adopted and will not allow visits while his other brother has Autism and is in a facility out of state. Although Matt's workers have promised multiple times to arrange visits, it has not happened. Because of this, Matt has a hard time trusting and building relationships with people out of fear of being let down. Matt has became active in sports - football, wrestling and track - and it has taught Matt how to control himself as well as provided him an outlet for his anger. Matt is a joy and delight to be around and is doing very well in school. He is excited to be taking Masonry next semester because he really wants to learn to build.
