Elijah is an 8th grader who has been removed from his home five different times. Due to these repeated removals he has had to change schools and lacked the consistency in his life to establish networks of friends and other peer supports. The only lasting friendships Elijah has maintained have been online where he can keep in touch through computer gaming. Elijah has also experienced a leg injury which keeps him from performing many outdoor activities so gaming has become his outlet to escape the difficulties in his life. Elijah is highly intelligent and social and has a wealth of information when engaged in topics of interest to him; especially military history. Elijah hopes to join the Armed Forces one day.
