Yakira is an 18 year old female in foster care who is a senior in high school and will be attending college in the Fall of 2018. Yakira is one who makes all A's and occasionally a B. She has the potential for a very bright future. Yakira has faced many challenges in her lifetime and continues to face adversities. However, she has not allowed her life's experiences to define who she is and who she is becoming. Yakira does a lot of things independently (as much as she can) but, like many of our children, she needs some extra help from time to time.
