Leland has lived in multiple settings, including with his mother and stepfather, in a group home and in three foster homes all in a matter of 2 years. He has been diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury resulting from abuse by his biological father. Leland has significant behavioral challenges, as well as academic and language delays. In spite of all of the challenges this little boy has faced, he continues to show resilience and grit every day.
