Mateo attends a science and technology charter school where he also plays football and runs track. He's a hardworking student who loves exceeding in school. Mateo has spent much of his life in and out of care but he is hopeful that his latest home may become permanent. He's the oldest child in care and he has taken on a big brother role to his six siblings. He puts his sibling's needs over his own on a constant basis.
