Azania is originally from South Africa and came to America when she was 14 years old. She was placed into the care of DCP&P at the age of sixteen because her mother had mental health issues. Her mother eventually surrendered her parental rights and Azania was placed in an independent living group home. She became pregnant at the age of seventeen. She was then transferred to a Mommy and Me program. Azania gave birth to a baby girl and she is now planning for their future together. She is working part time and just got accepted into Nursing School. She loves spending time with her daughter and is doing everything she can to prepare them for life after she ages out of the care of DCP&P.
