Behind the Wheel Driving Lessons for Azania to help with her independence

Azania, thrilled to have passed her written drivers test, was eager to complete her 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction. However, more practice is needed over and beyond the completed instructional hours in order to pass her upcoming drivers test. Living in a residential group home in foster care, Azania does not have access to a car or licensed driver to take her out for the practice she needs. The driving school has offered a discounted rate for 6 additional hours of behind-the-wheel instruction needed to pass the test. Azania is a dedicated nursing school student who understands the importance of having a drivers license for her career goal of one day working as a Registered Nurse.
Azania is 23 years old and lives in NJ
Azania is originally from South Africa and came to America when she was 14 years old. She was placed into the care of DCP&P at the age of sixteen because her mother had mental health issues. Her mother eventually surrendered her parental rights and Azania was placed in an independent living group home. She became pregnant at the age of seventeen. She was then transferred to a Mommy and Me program. Azania gave birth to a baby girl and she is now planning for their future together. She is working part time and just got accepted into Nursing School. She loves spending time with her daughter and is doing everything she can to prepare them for life after she ages out of the care of DCP&P.
