Karlita is an outgoing young woman with an incredible smile. She is a senior in high school and is and excellent student. She has a 3.9 GPA which she is so proud of because initially she didn't care about school. Her CASA took her to several college fairs which opened her eyes to the possibility of going to college and after that she really was determined to get better grades so that she can go to college. Not only did she get better grades but she is very active in school. She is on the basketball team, prom committee and is President of the African American student board. She has received college acceptances to many of the schools she has applied to including UCLA and Texas A & M.
