Kathy is a very warm, sweet natured, and caring young lady who loves cooking, exploring the outdoors, and has recently discovered her love for school. In the past, she has struggled with academics and never felt supported. Since being moved to her current placement and enrolled in a new school, she has started to excel and is highly motivated. Although she is not the caretaker of her siblings, she enjoys spending time with her younger biological brothers and foster siblings. She is very nurturing and playful. Kathy came into foster care 5 years ago after being removed from a situation of severe neglect and poverty. She was responsible for much of the care of her brothers. After 4 years in the same foster home, she was moved to her current placement around 6 months ago and she is hoping this will be her forever family. Kathy is adjusting well and recently enjoyed her first father-daughter dance with her foster father. She loves the new traditions she is experiencing with her foster family.
