Jacqueline entered foster care with her 6 siblings when she was 5 years old. She remained in care until she turned 18, when she aged out of state services. One of the things that she is most proud of is her resilience. She watched as her 4 younger siblings were all adopted into other families, without her, as well as the death of her mother to cancer, and her father a few years later. All of these trials were difficult but they made her who she is, so she wouldn't change a thing.
