Sahlina has seen more in her short life than most people ever see. Two years ago a fire destroyed everything she and her Mom owned. They got out safely but had to start over. They moved in with Sahlina's grandmother and things were looking up. Right before this past Christmas, Sahlina's Mom was killed in a horrible car accident, leaving Sahlina without a home. Sahlina's Grandmother is very involved in Sahlina's day to day life, but Sahlina is currently living in a foster home.
