Mariska is a little fighter. At the age of two months she was so severely beaten that she was in the ICU and wasn't expected to live. Live she did and was taken into foster care and then adopted by the same woman who fostered her. She is physically disabled due to her abuse but is making tremendous progress. She loves animals.
