Clara is 43 years old and pursuing her Bachelors degree at California State University, Long Beach. This is her first semester at the university level. She recently transferred from a community college after 20 years of on and off enrollment due to domestic violence, homelessness, and drug addiction. Clara has never given up on her educational goal. She is a product of the foster care system and now she is fortune to have her daughter reunited with her from the foster care system. She is a fighter and has always used her education goal as an escape to her upbringing. Clara uses music as an escape from her daily stress. Additionally, she has started a pizza and movie night on Fridays with her daughters and granddaughter.
