About Kimberly

Kimberly is 46 years old and lives in OH

Kimberly when into foster care as a toddler, and then again as teen. She says the toughest part about foster care was being separated from her siblings and losing her relationships with them. There was so much loss in Kimberly's life and she often felt misunderstood and had difficulty coping. After aging out of the foster care system, she went onto earn her B.A. in Fine Art from Mount Vernon Nazarene University and M.A. in Creative Arts Therapy from Hofstra University. She has worked in education for over 15 years and received awards and honors for innovative programming. Kimberly has also served as a board member of the Ohio Reach Coalition, a coalition that improves post-secondary outcomes for foster care youth and alumni through leadership, empowerment, advocacy, research and networking (L.E.A.R.N.). She is also a consultant for clients around the country and dedicates her passion and skills to supporting foster youth successes. Kimberly's personal story of reconciliation and resiliency focuses on survival by moving from hurt to healing through empowerment and self-care.
