As a transgender female who recently aged out of foster care to homelessness on the streets of DC, Lola has faced many challenges. Although resilient, courageous, and with a heart of gold, she was attacked while sleeping outside. From the attack, she suffered multiple stab wounds which required her to be put in a medically induced coma in the hospital. Fortunately, she came out of the coma two days ago and is now fighting to regain her spirit. Lola deserves better than the hand she has been dealt- but would never tell you that. Her smile is contagious and she always looks for the bright side of every situation she encounters.
