Shirts and paints for Lola to create wearable art

Posted Jun 9, 2023
Lola's self-care is creating designs on fabric with fabric paint. She is an incredible artist and loves to create pieces of wearable art for the enjoyment of others. She is currently in the hospital recovering from a hate crime, during which she suffered multiple stab wounds. Having these items will lift her spirits, give her something to keep busy, and show her that people appreciate her being the beautiful person she is.

Lola is 23 years old and lives in DC

As a transgender female who recently aged out of foster care to homelessness on the streets of DC, Lola has faced many challenges. Although resilient, courageous, and with a heart of gold, she was attacked while sleeping outside. From the attack, she suffered multiple stab wounds which required her to be put in a medically induced coma in the hospital. Fortunately, she came out of the coma two days ago and is now fighting to regain her spirit. Lola deserves better than the hand she has been dealt- but would never tell you that. Her smile is contagious and she always looks for the bright side of every situation she encounters.

It means the world to her. I haven't seen her this happy in months! Thank you! "
