Richard is a youth who has been in the system for a long time. He was the caretaker for younger his half siblings as his mother struggled with extreme mental health issues. He lives in a therapeutic foster home and has sibling visits with 2 of the 3 siblings that he took care of. He recently started to see an older full brother as well. He works at a retail store to make money to buy gifts for his siblings and to buy a gift for his foster mom. He struggles with academic motivation and peer relationships. He is very protective of his foster mother as he stated she really cares about me. Richard is preparing for independent living.
