Kay was brought into care because of the neglect she was experiencing while living with her ailing grandmother. Kay has been through a multitude of living situations and suffers from eating disorders and other mental illnesses. Music has been Kay's sanctuary. When Kay was in high school, her safe haven was her choir class. She loves to sing, play guitar, and perform. Music has always been Kay's way of self-soothing and therapy.
