Matthew was born at 25 weeks gestation, weighing just over 1 pound. He may be small, but he is mighty and has been fighting hard in this world. Since birth, he has been in the NICU at the children's hospital. Born addicted to multiple drugs, he has faced not only the challenges of his early birth but also the struggles of withdrawal. Matthew has five siblings who are currently in foster care. The family caring for his siblings has graciously agreed to welcome him into their home so they can all be together.
